Scot,
I know exactly what you mean about the bad taste after dealing with
those people. When I was shopping I had several conversations with
the company's owner, he assured me if I was serious he'd give me a
price "that'll knock your socks off!!". Turned out his idea of a
super deal was 3% discount from list. I bought through a local
dealer and got closer to 15% off.
As for the machine, I think you'll be okay with it. CMS uses pretty
much off-the-shelf components so down the road if you have problems
there are alternate sources for parts/help. Actually, that was one
on my main concerns in choosing between Upgrade and Omni-turn. With
Upgrade I knew I could always fall back on Fagor for help, with Omni-
turn I was stuck with them and their proprietary control (and
attitude).
I don't know the 8055 control, but I think it's a much fa$ter ver$ion
of my 8025. Whichever Fagor control you have, you'll get to love.
They're really nice controls.
Let me know if you have any questions on the control, I may be able
to help. The manuals sometimes aren't the best translation from
Spanish (?).
