Yes you certainly would be out of luck. They send you a code as I
recall that was for your use (if you registered it). I don't recall
that it was CPU or system specific,and I think it would be
reinstallable on the same system. You only needed it the first time
you installed the program and after that it runs just fine.

Now the "free" Surfcam requires a bimonthly re-registration. That
one worries me more as they can pull the plug at any time.
