I'm in the process of building a number of injection molds for wax injection
for rifle action parts. I've never done this before so I'm hoping
everything comes out OK.
[Are these metal molds, or rubber molds? Jewelers generally use rubber
molds, since they're easier to make and flexible enough to permit undercuts,
but rifle parts might demand metal.]
Also, would you know of any sources for wax injection machines by any
chance?
Thanks, Gordon

[You can find wax injection machines at any large jeweler's supply. A good
source for this sort of thing, including rubber, wax, and associated
paraphernalia, is Rio Grande (www.riogrande.com). Kerr makes a wax
injector: http://www.kerrlab.com/Products/English/WaxInjection/ProJector.htm
which works by air pressure, others use vacuum:
http://www.yasui.co.jp/e/cast_e/3wax_e.htm or a simple pump system.
Kindt-Collins (which sells the wax) also has some info on the process:
