Hi,

OK. I drew up a nifty little circuit this afternoon that E-Stops
several DC servomotors in half a second without stress to good drives
and over-rides bad ones no matter the failure. Further, the PC can
decide to E-Stop as well if so equipped.

All it uses is is 2 momentary switches, a DPDT 115VAC relay and a 20W
wirewound resistor. It works with power supplies up to 1,500W and has
been tested as well. Worked great.

In normal operation it bleeds off the supply in 1/2 second and
provides dynamic motor braking when off.

I uploaded it in the files section under the file name "An E-Stop for
Servos"
