I think Dave Pearson has covered this OK in his post but for a better
idea have a look at the following three files:-

These text files explain with screen shot links the basic operations
of Area clear, Go Round and Offsetting.
Note the simple unclutted screen and the small number of steps
required to reach these finished operations.
