It wasn't the troll, but a loose cable. Everything working now. Thanks
For relative new-comers - if ever meet a similar problem, CHECK YOUR
CABLES first before meddling with the board.
BTW to check logic side of the Gecko, I wonder if it is possible to
measure the voltage across terminals 11-12. Perhaps when the drive is
stepping, the voltage across terminals 11-12 will increase?
