Hi John,

Why not have a look at some of the new little halogen lamps: you will
probably be able to easily adapt a fitting to your existing work light. The
kind I am thinking of are such as the 12V 10W halogen cabinet lighting
lights sold by IKEA - small plastic fittings incorporating a reflector which
will run off your existing 12V supply (most likely) or from their own 'wall
wart' - about £14 for 3 - or some similar display spotlights. My own work
light is an ex-hospital 12V 50W halogen anglepoise which I picked up at a
car boot sale for a couple of quid and which is the best work light I've
ever had!
