This sounds like an adaptation of a standard auto taillight bulb. You might be
able to take it to an auto store and see how close they can come to it.
You might have to use aluminum foil to create the mirrored envelope, but
you'll save yourself at least 10 Pounds using a standard bulb instead of
the special one. I did something like this in a precision scale that had a similar
bulb, and it seems to work well.
