Please take no offense, but I do not discuss my inlaying techniques. As far
as the anodizing goes, that is quite simple. The entire ring will get
colored by anodizing (in about 2 seconds), and the color depends on the
applied voltage. After coloring, the outer ring surface is polished to
remove the color, leaving it in the pattern only.
Thank you for the compliments on the pattern. The customer designed the
pattern. After milling the surface has lightly sanded with emery cloth and
then polished on a satin-wheel buff.
