I assume you want to cut the perimeter of stained glass type pieces.
I think you may find it VERY slow, and a high speed spindle would be
a big help. I think people use jigsaws modified for wires with diamond grit
in them, which makes for a thinner kerf. I suspect it is still pretty slow.
I have seen some ground/etched glass work done with CNC that was
quite spectacular, to say the least. I'm not sure what keywords to use
for a web search, but maybe glass and art, and then try CNC with those.
I can't answer your effort/worth question, at least without some better idea
of what you want to do, and how much you are willing to spend on it.
