I never wouild have thought of a laser. I may not be able to afford
one, but e-bay is still there...... : )
In my search of this (CCED) site, regarding sandblasting, I saw a
similar note with the warning of or the need for really great
protection of the shafting and ballscrews.
My first thought on cutting glass was to score as you mentioned, then
with a pulse tool to walk the crack around the scribe line. seems a
hss bit moved by an ultrasonic adapter would impact just the crack
zone. of course, this may mean flipping the part over.
The flat panel lasers were cooool, first improvement in glass
seperation technology in 900 years !
