Dave,
To get plate that'll end up flat after grinding is a two step process.
First it needs to be stress relieved by a heat treater, then ground.
Otherwise, it'll most likely warp badly from the grinding, especially
if it's only ground on one side.
Locally, your part cost would be: $75/minimum charge at the heat
treater, $100/minimum at the Blanchard grinder.
