Hi,
these places are rediculously expensive. a 1/2 x 8 x 15 from those
guys is well over $125 per piece.
It was interesting to see that the use of oil, water or air hardening
stock is ground and would work. I've used drill rod as ground
shafting before, but be careful, the specs on that stuff is pretty
big. it is not precision, not diameter or straightness.
