Jon - that's simply a result of using Linux/Unix based platforms -
most people see it as a "black art", myself included (even though I
supported unix based CAD systems for 4 years!).

I don't doubt you can do anything you want with Linux, unfortunately,
most of your "guru's" are dropping out and going Microsoft.

I don't think it will get any better, your "experts" are simply
chasing the bucks..
