If they have any paper tapes that came with the machine, get them. these may be
the only copies of the executive and diagnostics that are properly configured for
the machine setup. You may need to resurrect the paper tape reader long enough to
read these into a PC. If the memory backup battery dies (like when the control
has been turned off for a month) then you need to reload the executive and any
parameter and configuration tapes. If there were any manuals, especially
programming, operation and maintenance books, you will certainly want those,
too.
