Richard,
As far as the 2.16 version goes, it sounds like, and I'm just guessing here,
some older cdrom drives will not read a CDRW disk. You may need to put
that on a regular CDR disk. Some even have a hard time with CDR disks.
I don't have a 2.11 version here but a 2.16 version should have all of the
directories you mentioned as well as a one more so it sounds like the 2.11
disk is probably ok. Is the drive a SCSI or an older one with it's own
interface card, or is it a regular IDE drive? Has anyone ever done an
install from that 2.11 disk so you know it is definitly good? Sounds like
your CDRom drive does not like the disk to me. I would try to make a 2.16
disk on a regular CDR disk, not a CDRW disk and try it again. If that does
not work I would take the cdrom drive from your good machine and temporarly
install it in the BDI machine and try that.
Anyone else want to pipe in here and offer any suggestions, feel free.
Bill
