Thanks to all for your suggestions.

I was trying not to order anything, and I had
the modem cable, but I am afraid that will be
too light.

Local Radio Shack has some 20 ga. 4 wire cable
without sheathing, but no connectors, locally.
(The RS's in my area are cutting back on
electronic, and wiring )

I am going to look into the audio cable also, as
I am hoping to get a professional look with the
most practical working solution.
