Buy a used BP, price is in the same ball park for a NON CNC machine
if you look around carefully. The smaller mill is going to occupy
nearly the same amount of room. I picked up a fully ready to go CNC
Bridgeport for $2000 and some people feel I still paid too much.
(Although I know the whole last 3 years history of this machine, and
the devil you know is better than the one you don't.) Surpisingly the
BP really does not take up much room. My friend who sold the BP to me
has 2 Shozuka's and 2 Tree's in a 12x40, plus a lathe and other
stuff. Sure it's cozy, but he cranks out production all day long.
