seems a nice economical vaccum pump but 2 notes about it.
most auto and refrigeration sealed units have some oil in the refrigerant which is not possible as a vaccuum pump , but it is so cheap they could be throwawy units.

vacuum clamping with timber usually uses high volume pumps to offset the many air leaks that can happen. but if sealed with tape or blanking pieces etc the pump should work well. this pump would be great for vacuum clamp pressing of laminates.

I like the idea so much i will try it on my cnc router when it gets to that stage
