Ya,... that's my complaint I guess. Somebody better start realizing that you need both in this market ! When they figure that out, they will make sales. I'm not sure that I would/could tolerate text
adjustments just from a dialog, because that is clearly limited. Fine for adding a serial number maybe. Wrapping text to a curve type stuff only scratches the surface.

Bottom Line... It would not meet the requirements that I would look for when a company advertises that they "Do Engraving".

As far as "Precision" goes, I hope you don't think that the Sign Program I use has no "Precision". Even Corel Draw can place an object to 6 decimal places. So, I wouldn't view it as a precision
issue.

I view it as a lack of knowledge issue. Clearly, most developers have their head in a bad place, totally oblivious to what else is being done by other companies. One certainly can't tell me that
there is no interest at the user level in having excellent text and so called "artsy" engraving features in a software.

Because of most companies failure to produce a combination product, I am forced to do 98% of my code creation in it rather than a cad/cam program.

When someone combines the techniques and features of:
Corel Draw ( which frankly is a must have)
Ashlar Vellum, or even AutoSketch (turbocads lack of complete functionality of default snaps rules it out)
Surfcam (probably the best technique for the Cam side I have Used)

They might have something !


BTW, What is the difference between an old demo I had called Excalibur and Dolphin ? I mean, are they from the same developers ?? Somehow I had a Folder called Dolphin Demo, Setting that up gives me
Excalibur...

I probably need a new demo of Dolphin before I start whinin' eh?
