One of my favorites is the GE-550 mill control manual. It's too bad that
there is a big ol' copyright notice inside the front cover. It has great
writeups on contouring, very nice pictures (all hand drawn in 1978), good
explanations of cuttercomp, arcs, even offsets are covered. lots of trig
formulas, etc.
I highly recommend it for a learning tool. Of course it was before they
invented the decimal point and arcs were limited to 90 degrees or less. ;-)
