Hi Mark
I took a look at your new machine and it looks like a nice score!
Although I like our Phillie resins products and Moglice I can confirm
that they would require new unworn screws as Jon mentioned.
So I would certainly recommend a ballscrew conversion kit. The
ends are already machined and the nut bracket is (hopefully)
ready to bolt on. Machining ballscrew ends requires tenths
tolerances on RC60 hardened steel and special setups.
HIWIN makes a ballscrew conversion kit for 9x32 Bridgeport.
It consists of part # B2505x-32 and B2505-9. I don't know if
it is a perfect retrofit but you can do a search and find out.
I think it is in the $800 range. Sorry- this is an expensive
little hobby!
I think someone on the list is distributing HIWIN products
(Bob Campbell?) so you can check here with the screws.
And if you recall I have proper sized servos for such a
machine.
