Alan (and/or others!): A point I hadn't considered when I joined this
thread. However, I have seen ball-screws "in catalogs" as small as 4 mm.
screw-O.D. x 1 mm pitch. BSA offers 3/8" dia. screws with 0.125"
pitch/lead, with NEMA #23 stepper fittings/bearings for the ends!
