Hi Art,
My 0.02 USD, as I can't speak from authority on how it "should" work.
What about adding a parameter to allow the user to select "linear" (?)
or "rollover" mode? That's what I was thinking of doing. I only use my
rotary table in the "linear" fashion. I do recall an RDF (radio
direction finding) project (CY545 controller) I did in which the stepper
and gearbox DID want to operate in a "rollover" fashion. Although that
project was a "canned" project, our controller programs would be able to
handle that motion control task; if the parameter was added.
