Stepper motor drivers - sugestion

All you chaps trying to drive steppers out there, have any of you considered
the SGS Thomson GS-D200 series stepper drivers.
Although there are lots of connections on it They require little wiring, as
any of the control inputs are pulled high when un-connected.
They accept logic level step & direction inputs and give constant current
bipolar outputs (settable by a single resistor or none for the factory
default 1 or 2 amps) on a supply of 10-40/48V (use a 12 or 24v transformer,
rectifier & cap to give 36V (24*1.414) unregulated supply, and a 7805 for
the 5V)
RS components sell them for about £50 each, So they should be available from
other outlets for about half that !
Data sheet is on the web (search on google under GS-D200S), I have 4
second-hand ones, so I'll let you know how i get on with them soon.
