Thats ok, and I think normal after you get it fresh from the factory. The
breakin period was hell on my Jet Lathe since I was doing ACME threading on
it the first day I got it running. Darn Motor Starter caps kept blowing
because I wasnt willing to wait the few seconds shutdown they require. (yes
the 220 wiring was correct.) Quick On/Offs are hell on those 220V Motors.
I was also pretty surprised to find out all the Jet stuff was stamped
"CHINA" all over it. Jet's design is very good, but I could have saved
thousands by going with Harbor Freight and get basically the same thing....
Lets see, Which would I prefer? China? Taiwan? Japan? Indon..?
At least the motor was finally fixed.... :)
