OK, time to let this one die as it has gotten way off track from the
group topics. Here is the summary of what I think we learned.
1 - The CCED group does not support or condone piracy
2 - The legalese on the licenses is frequently complex and most of us
never read it
3 - Most of us (most of the world) are unclear what it is you get when
you pay your money for software
4 - There are probably some terms in the license controlling what and if
you can do with the software
5 - Mentioning piracy on the group hacks off a number of you
6 - Some vendors are pretty fair in regard to treating the license as we
think it should be
7 - Some vendors regard this area with a very heavy hand
8 - Did I mention that the CCED group does not support or condone
piracy??
Now let's please drop the subject and get back to talking about the list
topics. No on list comments or replies are needed or appreciated. As
always feel free to express what your being told to not post here
directly to Bill (hee hee). Now that this had been declared OT
continuing it will only lead to the offender risking the consequences.
