I am not sure of the tolerances you plan to hold, but you might want
to read more about that.
from what I have read, the cutting tip can meander and the highly
accurate stuff is not needed.
what I found as the simplest approach is a heavy table with water
bath under and a decent fan for exhaust.
inverted angle iron and Vee notched wheels. then mount a gear rack
on one of the angles so the dust will fall off. smaller motors are
all that is needed for non-contact tables.
eleminats linear shafting, and ball screws. if you felt the need for
linear shafting you could get by with one rail on one side.
That should save you enough to buy the Hypertherm.
