A CPU heat sink and fan will keep a Gecko G210 or G320 (and I am sure
the others, but this is what I have experience with) cool as can be when
running a Bridgeport series II all day. That is what I used when I first
set up Bridgett. IF the fans stop spinning things do get hot pretty
fast. Without the fan going it was hotter than I like, but still
probably not over 120 - 130°F.
This is not a nuclear reactor we are cooling hear. 12" x 24" of real
finned heat sink would probably be enough to cool at least a dozen Gecko
drives at full tilt with convection only.
