I am not familiar with the Alzanti. The HobbyCNC and the Stepperworld
units are old technology unipolar units. The Xylotex is a great unit. I
have 2 of them sitting next to me and they perform great. They are very
current technology with bipolar drives and up to 8x microstepping. If a
2.5 amp 35 v drive will do the job for you they are the best bang for
the buck available. Jeff is also a great guy to deal with.
