HELP ON CHOOSING A STEPPER MOTOR CONTROLLER

I am looking at the different 3 and 4 axis stepper motor
controllers. I am specifically looking at the lower cost units
which can be used for a hobbiest group to be a project.

I have viewed a number of controllers but do not want to be fooled.
Some of you out there know more than I do. I have limited my
choices to the folowing manufactures and models:
ALZANTI PVP2460
HobbyCNC 4 axis controller
Stepperworld FET-4
XYLOTEX XS-3585/8S-3
