For that light weight, you can get uni-strut. $20.00 at your local
electircal supply.

a couple uni-strut rollers will handle 1000 pounds and ar another
$30.00. you can bolt it to the ceiling and hang your com-a-long and
have a 10 foot travel. do it length wise over the lathe and you can
place parts, put your chuck at a cradle at the foot of the lathe.

or if want more security, cut the 10 lenght in 3 and run 2 4 footers
and a 2 footer between.

BTW, great timing. as soon as I'm done the mods to the drill, I'm
placing my 300 lb lathe stand and I need to lift my lathe.

McMaster Carr
Plate-Style Trolley
600 lbs = 3626T11 19.46

The U-bracket for each end would keep the dolly from falling off.
1 5/8" x 1 5/8" 33125T62 (painted) $2.97 ea
or Zinc is 33125T65 $2.97 ea

and get solid not slotted uni-strut as you need to bolt in the center
between the rollers.
