That transformer is a multi-tap unit. from 9 volts to 45 volts
output in 8 steps, plus voltages inbetween and possilbly added on to
another.
Since I am looking for 30-35 VDC to the motors, I use the straight 24
VAC output.
Did check negitive of the DC side as the Gecko I am running works
fine and have not blown a cap on the Gecko Terminals. (470uF/50V)
the tall grey can is the big cap. seems I needed a wide tower case
to hold the transformer and a tower to have room for the cap.
