Don't keep us in suspense, what did you figure out ?
I hit a wall on it untill someone showed me the doorknob.
I missed the printer port setting, opening screen shows what it is.
I didn't know where to set it.
as to step pin state and direction pin state.
step pin state is used to work with the driver. if the driver (Gecko,
Xylotex, etc) switches with a high or low signal, you plug that in.
in many cases there is little difference to you. ( corrections /
clarifications welcomed)
The timing, how long the pulse stays high then low is set for 10uSec
and is slow enough for most brand of drivers. I think both the Gecko
and Xylotex are under 2uSec, so 10 is fine.
the DIR pin state tells the driver which way is positive. so you
don't have to mess with your motors wires to get it to move the way
you want.
