Hi Kevin,

You can use 400 step motors. You can use 48 step motors! The 400 step
motors will have TWICE the resolution of 200 step motors. BE SURE the
motor you have found (Vexta PK268M) is not a *** 5 PHASE MOTOR ***. That
will take a different driver. The 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 (or 10 microsteps, for
that matter) is just another "multiplier" in calculating the final step
resolution of your drive chain. 400 steps * quarter step results in
1600 steps per revolution!
