I'm not sure about circuit layouts, but all you relay need it a 25
pin board connector for the parallel port cable, and lots and lots of
terminals for the connections.
I the one I made has a darlington for the ooutputs with remote
relays. could have used the electronic relays, but I have a lot of
relays laying around.
then optoisolators for the inputs, and don't forget to add the power
source AND dropping resistors for the whole switch loop.
I 3x5 radioshack perf board and box will hold everything you need.
Considder making 2 as if you decide to addd a second port for more
axies or more switches, you'll be set. And it that case, I'd
considder putting in jumper so you can utilize the extra outputs that
would normally go to motors for even more switches.
