Does Haas overrate their power?

Hello everyone,

we are planning on buying a Haas SL-20 turning center
but some people have been advising us not to do it
because Haas overrates their machine's power capacity.
Is this true?

The friend who gave us this advice said that he made a
mistake by purchasing a Haas VF-E 3 axis mill. He said
that above 3000 rpm the machine's power dropped
drastically and he was simply unable to cut anything.

Is this true of almost all machine tools or is it
something peculiar to the Haas CNC machines?
