This is a bit off topic so I will continue with anyone who cares off
line. I own a Haas mini mill and yes it could use more power but I would not
say they have over rated it. I have run many machines and they all have there
own torque curves. If you know your machine you can get the most out of it
and I feel the machine is powered appropiatlly for is size and rigidity I
feel the HP rating is equal to that of other machines in the same HP rating.
Most machines in the 7.5 HP range will say 5hp is there continious rating. I
love my machine and will be buying more Haas equipment in the future. My 2
