This simply means SOMETHING in the motor-phases is shorted. If the Gecko
(driver) is good (not yet destroyed), then either the wiring, connectors, or
motor (or all?) are shorted!

Do you have a connector on the motor-leads? UNPLUG the offending motor, and
see if it is still hard to turn! Simple logic!
