No memory managers or anything else running. I'm booting straight
into DOS. Windows isn't even installed on this PC. It does dual
boot with EMC linux, but I'm booting into DOS.
Yes, the pauses seem repeatable. I'll try to grab some of the code
that is causing it tonight or tomorrow.
