If you're talking about machining an ellipse, see my post to this list (May
4, '02 - 1:25 PM). An oval, by defenition is roughly egg-shaped (i.e.
elliptical). An obround is a rectangle whose corners have been filleted
with radii equal to half the length of the shortest sides. An ellipse can
be generated directly from a mathematical formula. A circle is just a
special representation of an ellipse. HTH
