Appreciate your willingness to accept the decision.

The primary reason for the way we run it is from polling member when
they leave the forum. The number one reason for leaving is that there
are too may posts that have nothing to do with the topics. While people
have said they don't like messages not being trimmed we have never had
anyone give it as a reason for leaving.

So, we work hard to keep the group focused on the specific topics and
push all the OT stuff off to other lists that are willing to be much
more general.
