Aluminium grades:

1150 Pure aluminium (used for saucepans, decorative trims, etc)
1200 Similar to 1150 not as good for anodising
5005 Stronger than 1200 suitable for welding
5083 Weldable sheet plate for marine applications & transport vehicles
5251 Medium strength for boats, panneling etc (weldable)
1350 Used for electrical conductors
2011 Machining alloy
2014 High strength heavy duty (aircraft structures)
5083 High strength, weldability in marine, general and transport
6060 Most commonly used extrusion alloy (architectural, etc)
6061 Structual alloy good corrosion resistance
6101 Good strength and electrical conductivity
6106 Medium strength (architectural)
6262 Commerical machining alloy
6351 Medium strength structural alloy
7005 High strength structural alloy for large extrusions

etc.

Temper definitions:

T1 Air cooled extrusion naturally aged
T3 Solution heat treated and cold worked
T5 Air cooled and artificially aged (better mech prop)
T6 Solution heat treated and artificially aged (good)
0 Annealed (this is the softers condition for the alloy)
etc
