home-brewed CNC saw

Hi,
I hope to make a home-brewed CNC saw one day, and haven't been able
to find an example here or on the web.
Anyone has seen a CNC saw, shop or home-brewed, anywhere on the web
or have some idea of how one can be home-brewed?
The z-axis would probably be fitted with a kind of "rotary table" so
it can be turned into a kind of mitre-saw when needed, though I can
imagine what may happen if the saw is then moving "unparallel" to the
plane of the sawblade.
Thanks in advance (to reduce bandwidth)
