sliders, with the glass analyzer gratings (glued?) on one side, and a
circuit board with the
photodetectors on the other side of one part, then there is a wide slot
that wraps around the
scale, and a PC board on the other side with LEDs. If the plastic block
is broken, it might
be fairly hard to fix.
