I think the way I have seen kitchen counter tops done is that the
floor is made as the lower mold so if the floor is flat, your end
result will be too.

After posted that part about leaving space for screws behind the
maounts, I thought about putting blocks behind and possibly welding
them in place so that you would have more strenght in a bolt.

and also to install any additional mounting plates for whatever else
one minght need, a rotary table or somesuch.
