I'm glad this idea is being kicked around. I started the ball rolling
by creating the group cced_archive. I wish Yahoo threaded better...but
it doesn't in fact it is hard to find information in the old messages.
And , it would be nice if some of our heavy hitters would write a book
on this subject...then of course give us all a copy for free. It would
be nice if people would write short articles. But, I am already amazed
at the time and generous effort expended by some of the members of
this group. My first thought was that all this could happen within
cced. Cooler heads than mine pointed out that Bill would probably not
appreciate it. Noone wants to make more work for Bill. I think an
ordered collection of some of the informative posts from cced would be
of value and could sort of expand the FAQ. What I need now is for the
members of this group to pass along the posts that they have saved,
noted, or printed. Also all that is needed are the message numbers.
What I am not sure of is the best form to save the posts in. I favor
*.txt, but you loose the formating, Maybe "rich text" Maybe *.html
everybody can read that.
