Well, it certainly shows a switch connecting 5 V to the transistor base,
which sounds wrong. there may be some current limiting inside the Gecko,
but if that is the same +5 V source for the encoder, it should have 100 + mA
of capacity, which certainly sounds bad. Mariss? Can you explain?
