It took a bit. the easiest way is to go with linear bearings, but
that's really throwing money at it. This was the least expensive way
that I could think of that would work, and still give me a hand at
precision. On the other hand, the Z axis is made up of linear
bearings, cost lots more, and was built in far less time.

Glad to help.

The boards are home built, done with Eagle Cad, and built on an L297
and L298 chipset. I found that there needs to be a filter in the
current sense loop to eliminate singing in the motors. The app notes
from ST detail this.

This is right at the limit of a somewhat larger drill press, and the
HF/Grizzly/Homier mini-mill and mini-lathe. I do admit to having a
rotary table (6 inches) which has quite simplified making motor
mounting plates.

I do plan to update the website, but the problem is that I am fast
