This sounds like you make 2 identical flanges and use 2 ballnuts.
bolt one ballnut/flange to the machine, then the second
ballnet/flange to the first.

as you tighten the 2 units together, the balls in contact with the
screw get loaded and that creates the anti-backlash.

sounds simple.
